Spartan 42" Shield HD SS

The 42" Spartan Shield adds the extra to ordinary to bring you an extraordinary high performance tool to conquer your turf and do it with style. It starts with a Kawasaki engine, independent dual hydrostatic transaxles by Hydrogear, a 10 gauge welded deck. The Shield is built on the same platform as the Toro TimeCutter Max, which Toro only offers in 50" and larger. For those who want the upgrades of the Titan Max in a 42" the Shield is the way. Compared tot he 42 TimeCutter the Shield has the following features that the TimeCutter 42 does not. 1) Lift up footpan for easy access to the top of the deck. 2) Rigidly mounted deck that can be used as a step to get on and off the mower. 3) 5" max height of cut vs 4.5". 4) Commercial style drop in pin height of cut selector. 5) Height of cut foot pedal allowing momentary lifing of the deck over roots or noles. 6) Spacious open operator pit. 7) 5 Gallon Fuel Tank. 8) Rubber discharge chute. 9) Rubber mats on foot pan and toe board. 9) 1/4" increment height of cut seleciton. 10) Transport mode height of cut lock. 11) Slotted steel deck hangers like our pro machines. 12) Agressive aero styling. 13) The SS model has our high travel commercial suspension seat.
