Many customers find the Titan to be the sweet spot for price vs durability & performance. Price wise it's between the TimeCutter & the Z-Master, but Its commercial spindles, belts and heavy deck substantially extend its durability for the acreage owner or home owner that wants to make a longer term investment.
It has 4 ply 22" tall by 11" wide deep tread rear tires and a low center of gravity which improves its traction and hillside capability. It has dual Hydrogear ZT2800 serviceable transmissions with spin on filters. Toro offers an optional twin bag grass & leaf catcher with powered blower unit that has a much more attractive price than that available for the Z-master 2000. The TORO TITAN brings a lot of bang for the buck.
Compared to the TimeCutter, the Titan has a much heavier built deck with grade 50 steel, 1" shaft commercial deck spindles vs 5/8" shaft consumer spindles, servicable Hydrogear transmissions vs non-servicable transmissions, 5 gallon fuel tank vs 3 gallon, 8.5mph ground speed vs 7mph, commercial use warranty vs residential only, 22" tires vs 20" or 18", 1/4" height of cut adjustment increments vs 1/2".
